Z-Form®

ZERO CLEARANCE BOLT AND SLEEVE ASSEMBLY

Typical bolted joints require clearance to accommodate machining tolerances and rely solely on clamp load to prevent joint slip. In joints subjected to high shear loads, traditional bolted joint assemblies may not be capable of keeping the clamped components from moving laterally in relation to each other. Dowel pins and locating sleeves are traditionally used to resist these shear loads.

The Z-Form® Assembly consists of a shoulder bolt with a pre-assembled deformable sleeve which, when installed completely eliminates clearance between the bolt and the through hole in the clamped component. This increases resistance to slippage, retains clamp load and extends gasket / seal life.

In one customer validation test involving a ring gear application, Z-Form® Bolt & Sleeve Assembly outperformed the existing fastener by achieving 18X the number of reversing cycles. As a result, fewer or smaller fasteners may be used while still retaining a longer lived and completely serviceable joint.

PlasTORX®

FASTENER FOR INJECTION MOLDING

Special head designed specifically for high pull out and high torsional resistance in injection molded assemblies.

Pins

UNTHREADED PINS

Unthreaded pins can be used as locating fixtures, to rivet joints together, or to allow for rotating movement.

REVEL™

REVEL™ STUD

REVEL™ is a revolutionary sealing stud designed for use with
plain or coated soft metal (HRB 80 or less). Its unique dual-
sealing ring design provides a robust sealing solution without
the need for secondary sealing washers or chemical sealants.
An optional grounding ring that penetrates coatings to provide a
secure ground is also available.

FEATURES

► Dual-sealing rings designed for painted or unpainted surfaces, mild steel, or aluminum
► Optional grounding ring that penetrates coatings.
► Available in two standard flange/head diameters based on ISO 15071:2011 and DIN 1665. Other diameters available upon request.

Techniclean™

FASTENERS FOR TECHNICAL CLEANLINESS

As pneumatic, hydraulic and powertrain systems become more complex, they also become more susceptible to failures resulting from particle contamination. These failures can lead to excessive repair or replacement costs, which are driving manufacturing companies to seek out solutions to help prevent harmful particles from entering the system. To support these efforts, Acument Global Technologies developed and defined our own unique standard and classes of clean fasteners under the brand name TECHNICLEAN™. Conventional fasteners are bulk processed through equipment shared with other products, meaning the job is only as clean as the dirtiest part. Furthermore, many fasteners have specified finishes that aren’t conducive to meeting technical cleanliness requirements. TECHNICLEAN™ fasteners are manufactured with Acument Global Technologies industry leading processes and fastener finishes designed to help provide and ensure cleanliness levels superior to that of conventional fasteners.
